Built-in appliances are only as good as their installation, which is why built-in appliance installation in Vancouver's custom kitchens is a job we don't rush. An integrated refrigerator that is a few millimetres out of square will show uneven reveals and a door that does not seal. A panel-ready dishwasher with the wrong spring tension will drop open or slam shut. A wall oven that is not properly supported can sag in its cutout. These details are the difference between a kitchen that looks custom and one that looks almost right.
Fix Cheetah installs built-in and panel-ready appliances for homeowners, designers, cabinetmakers and builders across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky corridor. We work from the manufacturer's installation specifications and coordinate with your millwork so the finished result is flush, level and secure.
We install integrated refrigeration from brands such as Sub-Zero, Thermador, Fhiaba, Liebherr and Miele, panel-ready dishwashers from Bosch, Miele and Gaggenau, and built-in cooking and ventilation from Wolf, Thermador, Gaggenau, Fulgor Milano, Falmec and more.
Cutout and site verification
Before an appliance goes in, we check the cutout against the manufacturer's specifications: width, height, depth, squareness and the location of water, electrical and gas supplies. Built-in appliances have tight tolerances and often require specific clearances for ventilation. If a cutout is off, it is much easier to correct before installation than after the panels are hung.
Anchoring and anti-tip protection
Tall integrated columns and heavy ranges need to be secured. We install anti-tip brackets and anchoring kits according to the manufacturer's instructions, fastening into solid framing or blocking. For integrated refrigerators, correct anchoring also keeps the unit from shifting when heavy doors are opened, which protects panel alignment over time.
Custom panel mounting and alignment
Panel-ready appliances rely on the custom door panel to complete the look. We mount panels using the manufacturer's hardware, then adjust hinges and door closers so reveals match neighbouring cabinets and doors open and close smoothly.
- Panel weight checked against the appliance's rated maximum
- Dishwasher door springs adjusted to balance the panel
- Hinge adjustments for even reveals and clean alignment
- Handles and trim installed to match adjacent millwork
- Toe-kick grilles fitted to preserve condenser airflow
Water, venting and gas connections
Integrated refrigerators, ice makers, steam ovens and coffee systems often need a water supply, and some require a drain. We install supply lines with appropriate shut-offs and check every fitting for leaks under pressure. For range hoods and ventilation inserts, we connect to existing ductwork and confirm the damper and blower operate correctly.
Gas rangetops, ranges and cooktops are connected by licensed gas technicians and completed to BC code and Technical Safety BC requirements. We leak-test every connection and verify burner ignition and flame quality before we sign off.
Working with builders, designers and cabinetmakers
For renovations and new builds, timing matters. We can coordinate with your contractor, designer or cabinetmaker to schedule the installation at the right stage, review specifications ahead of time and flag potential conflicts early. After installation, we test each appliance and walk you through its features.
Common problems we fix
Cutout slightly too small or out of square
We verify dimensions before installation so adjustments can be made while it is still simple to modify the cabinetry.
Uneven panel reveals
Careful hinge and mounting adjustments bring custom panels into line with neighbouring drawers and doors.
Dishwasher door not balanced with heavy panel
Spring tension is set to match the panel weight so the door stays where you leave it.
Integrated refrigerator overheating in its enclosure
Correct toe-kick grilles and ventilation clearances keep condenser airflow flowing and prevent premature compressor wear.
Heavy columns not properly anchored
We install anti-tip and anchoring hardware into solid structure so tall units stay secure when doors are opened.
Gas rangetop connection in a tight cabinet
Licensed gas technicians complete and leak-test gas connections in confined spaces to BC code requirements.
Coordinating multiple appliances in one kitchen
We sequence installation of columns, ovens, rangetops and dishwashers so trim and panels line up across the whole kitchen.
