An appliance can be brand new and still develop problems when the installation is wrong. A washer can vibrate because shipping hardware was left in place, a dishwasher can leak because of an incorrect drain route, and a dryer can struggle when the vent is crushed behind the cabinet. Fix Cheetah handles appliance delivery, installation and removal across Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Sea-to-Sky corridor.

We work with freestanding, slide-in, built-in, integrated, panel-ready and flush-install appliances in homes, condos, townhomes, rentals and new builds. Model numbers are useful before the appointment because dimensions, utility requirements and installation clearances vary by appliance.

Delivery, installation and removal can be booked as a package or separately. Where a job requires major cabinetry, stone, structural, plumbing, gas or electrical modification outside the appliance connection itself, we explain the requirement rather than attempting work outside the appropriate trade scope.

Standard, built-in, panel-ready and flush installation

Freestanding and slide-in appliances need correct levelling, connections and anti-tip protection. Built-in and integrated models require additional checks of the cutout, clearances, depth, utility locations and cabinet alignment. Panel-ready fronts are mounted using the manufacturer's hardware and adjusted so the doors sit correctly with surrounding cabinetry.

  • Refrigerators, freezers and integrated columns
  • Wine coolers, beverage centres and undercounter ice machines
  • Dishwashers, including panel-ready and flush models
  • Washers and dryers, including stacked arrangements
  • Ranges, cooktops, rangetops and wall ovens
  • Over-the-range microwaves, speed ovens and warming drawers
  • Range hoods and inserts connected to existing ducting

Over-the-range microwave installation and removal

Over-the-range microwaves combine cooking and ventilation. Installation involves secure wall and cabinet mounting and correct blower configuration for ducted or recirculating operation. Minor cabinet adjustments may be possible when specifically quoted; new circuits, major ductwork and structural changes may require the appropriate qualified trade.

Delivery as a standalone service or combined

We can bring an appliance from a curb, garage or building lobby into the intended room, subject to access and scope. Condo installations may require elevator bookings and move windows. Older homes can involve narrow stairs, tight landings and unusual clearances, so the route matters as much as the appliance dimensions.

Where required for access, refrigerator doors can be removed and reinstalled. Washer drums should be secured according to the manufacturer's instructions when the unit is being moved.

Uninstall, haul-away and responsible disposal

Removal begins with safe disconnection. Water, drains, electrical connections and dryer venting are disconnected correctly. Gas appliances are handled by appropriately certified gas technicians within the applicable BC requirements.

Refrigerated appliances require responsible handling because refrigerants must not simply be released during disposal. We arrange appropriate handling and recycling pathways within the disposal scope, with fees confirmed according to appliance type and access.

Connections and work for other trades

Gas connections, where included, require appropriately certified personnel and applicable code or permit requirements. Water connections are checked for leaks, drains are routed correctly and dryer venting is assessed for suitable installation.

If the new appliance needs a larger circuit, new gas piping, major cabinetry, stone cutting, structural work or new ductwork, we identify that before installation rather than improvising on site.

What we take care of

The installation process includes practical checks that prevent common callbacks.

  • Confirming the cutout and clearances before removal
  • Fitting and aligning custom panels
  • Securing anti-tip hardware and appropriate anchors
  • Connecting water, drain and ventilation services within scope
  • Testing for leaks and appliance operation
  • Protecting floors, walls, counters and finished cabinetry
  • Working with strata access rules where applicable
  • Removing old appliances for appropriate disposal

5 Most Common Appliance Installation Issues and How to Fix Them

Dishwasher installation concern

A dishwasher needs a secure connection, correct levelling and a properly routed drain. The drain arrangement must suit the appliance and local installation requirements. After installation, the machine should be run and checked for leaks.

Washer installation and vibration

Transit bolts or shipping restraints must be removed when required by the manufacturer, and the washer needs to be level and stable. Stacked units also require the correct stacking hardware and safe access.

Dryer installation and venting

The transition duct should be appropriate for the installation and arranged to avoid unnecessary crushing or sharp restrictions. The vent path should be checked for airflow and the appliance should be tested after connection.

Range installation and anti-tip protection

Ranges need correct utility connections and anti-tip protection where specified. Gas appliances require appropriately qualified installation and applicable BC requirements. The appliance should be tested before it is left in service.

Refrigerator delivery and clearance

Large refrigerators may require door removal for access. The route should be measured before delivery, and the appliance should be positioned with the clearances specified by the manufacturer.
