When an appliance breaks at home, it throws off the whole household routine. The laundry piles up, dinner plans change and the fridge contents end up in a cooler on the deck. Fix Cheetah provides residential appliance repair across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky corridor, with technicians who understand the homes people actually live in here.
That means a detached house in Surrey with a full-size laundry room, a Yaletown condo where the only washer is a stacked unit tucked in a closet, a Burnaby townhome with a galley kitchen, or a new laneway home in East Vancouver where every appliance is compact, European and built in. Each comes with its own access challenges, building rules and common failure points, and we plan our visits around them.
We are factory-trained on LG, Miele, Samsung and Whirlpool, warranty-authorized for GE, Frigidaire and a list of European and specialty brands, and we service most other household names too. Every job starts with a proper diagnosis and a transparent upfront quote, and our repairs are backed by our workmanship warranty.
Every Appliance in the Home
We repair the full range of residential appliances, from everyday mainstream models to high-end built-ins. Our technicians carry common parts for the brands we see most, so many repairs are finished on the first visit.
- Refrigerators, freezers, wine coolers and beverage centres
- Front-load and top-load washers, dryers and laundry pairs
- Dishwashers, including panel-ready and drawer models
- Ranges, wall ovens, cooktops and microwaves
- Range hoods and ventilation fans
- Gas appliances and fireplaces, handled by licensed gas technicians
Condos and Stacked Washer-Dryers
Condo laundry has its own set of problems. Stacked washer-dryers and all-in-one combo units are packed into tight closets with little room to pull them out, long dryer vent runs that clog with lint, and drain connections that are easy to overwhelm. A slow-draining washer or a dryer that takes three cycles to dry is often a building-venting issue as much as an appliance fault, and we check both.
We know most stratas have move-in and service rules, so we work with your concierge or building manager on elevator bookings, parking and access times. We protect floors and hallways, and if a stacked unit has to come out of its closet, we bring the right tools and a second technician when needed so walls and trim are not damaged. Leaks in a condo can affect the unit below, so we treat any washer or dishwasher leak as a priority.
Houses, Townhomes and Laneway Homes
In detached houses we often see second fridges and chest freezers in garages, older laundry rooms with worn supply hoses, and kitchens that have been renovated with a mix of brands and ages. We check the basics that homeowners tend to overlook, such as corroded water valves, kinked ice maker lines and dryer vents that exit through a long run to the roof.
Townhomes and laneway homes tend to use compact 24-inch appliances, European-style built-in dishwashers and ventless or heat pump dryers to save space. These machines are efficient but less forgiving: a heat pump dryer with a clogged condenser filter or a compact washer overloaded with bedding will struggle. We also show you how to get the most out of them.
How a Home Repair Visit Works
Call us or book online and tell us the appliance, brand, model if you have it, and what it is doing. We give you an arrival window, and our technician arrives ready to diagnose rather than guess.
- Diagnosis with the right meters and service tools, including fault code readouts
- A clear explanation of the problem and a transparent upfront quote before work starts
- Honest advice when a repair is not worth it compared with replacement
- Parts sourced for your exact model, with most common parts carried on the truck
- Workmanship warranty on the completed repair
Repair or Replace?
We would rather fix a good appliance than see it go to landfill, but we will not talk you into a repair that does not make sense. Age, the cost of the part compared with the value of the machine, energy use and the condition of the rest of the appliance all matter. If replacement is the better choice, we can help with appliance installation and responsible removal and disposal of the old unit.
What we take care of
Fridge not cooling but the light is on
Often a failed evaporator fan motor, a defrost system fault such as a bad defrost heater or thermostat, or a start relay or inverter compressor board issue.
Stacked washer not draining
A blocked drain pump filter, a clogged hose or a failing drain pump, common in condo units with small drain standpipes.
Dryer taking forever to dry
Restricted lint path or long vent runs, a failed heating element or thermal fuse, or a clogged condenser on ventless and heat pump models.
Dishwasher leaving water in the bottom
Blocked filters, a kinked drain hose, a failed drain pump or a clogged air gap or garbage disposal connection.
Oven not heating evenly
A burnt-out bake or broil element, a failing convection fan, a faulty temperature sensor or a weak gas igniter.
Front-load washer smells musty
Mould and detergent residue in the door boot and sump, often from overdosing detergent or leaving the door closed between loads.
Ice maker not making ice
A frozen fill tube, a failed water inlet valve, a clogged filter or a faulty ice maker module.

Do you repair appliances in condos and apartments?
Yes. A large share of our residential work is in condos and apartments across Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Coquitlam and beyond. We coordinate with building management for parking, elevator bookings and access, and we are used to working in tight laundry closets and compact kitchens.
Can you fix a stacked washer-dryer without removing it?
Many repairs, such as drain pump filters, door boots, belts and control issues, can be done in place. Some jobs, like drum bearings or certain dryer components, require the unit to be unstacked or pulled out. We assess it on site and bring help when a unit has to come out of a tight closet.
Which household brands do you service?
We are factory-trained on LG, Miele, Samsung and Whirlpool, warranty-authorized for Blomberg, Breda, Cavavin, Eurotrim, Faber, Falmec, Fhiaba, Frigidaire, Fulgor Milano, GE, Irinox and Scotsman, and we also service most other brands, including Bosch, KitchenAid, Maytag, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, Kenmore and many more.
Will you tell me if an appliance is not worth repairing?
Yes. After diagnosing the problem we explain the repair, give you a transparent quote and share an honest opinion on whether it makes sense for the age and condition of the appliance. The decision is always yours.
Do you service laneway homes and compact appliances?
Absolutely. Laneway homes and small-space renovations often use 24-inch European appliances, heat pump or condenser dryers and panel-ready dishwashers. We regularly work on these compact and built-in models.
Is your repair work guaranteed?
Yes. Our repairs are covered by our workmanship warranty, and parts carry the coverage provided by their manufacturer. Your technician will explain what is covered when the job is complete.
