Blomberg traces its roots to Germany in 1883, when it started out as a metalworking business. By the middle of the twentieth century it had moved into household appliances and built its name on washing machines, an engineering heritage that still shows in the brand's focus on efficiency and quiet operation. Since 2002 Blomberg has been owned by Turkey's Arçelik, the same group behind Beko.

In Canada, Blomberg sells a full kitchen and laundry lineup through its Canadian site and dealers: freestanding and built-in refrigerators, front- and top-control dishwashers, ranges, wall ovens, cooktops and microwaves, plus 24-inch compact washers and dryers.
